Would you like to know more about the Japanese culture?
Join MIFA exchange activities - introduction to Japanese culture, visit cultural assets, and more. Come along and find new friends.

Eligibility: To be an international student with a college student visa who is enrolled at a university/school in Meguro or resident in Meguro.
Note:
Participants are kindly requested to register themselves as a MIFA member. (annual membership fee for a student is \500).

* "Tokyo Metro Tour"

Held on Oct. 22 (Sat), 2011, 10:00-19:00

This event was attended by 26 international students from 15 different countries as well as 19 volunteers.

Participants explored the attractive town areas in Tokyo, such as Tsukiji, Azabu, Kagurazaka, and Yanaka using one-day pass. After the tour, they made original maps of Tokyo, to share the experience.

Tempe Mendoan (Thin tempeh fried with flour), Semur Daging (Indonesian gravy beef stew), Ayam Goreng Kremes (Indonesian flavored fried chicken with crispy flakes), Sop Buah (Mixed fruits cocktail with milk)

* "Home Visits for International Students"

held in the afternoon on May 21 (Sat) 2011.

Five Japanese families received nine international students at home.

held on May 14 (Sat), 2011, 10:00-15:00
at: Cooking Room, Midorigaoka Bunka Kaikan

Menu: "Takikomi gohan" (mixed rice), "Osuimono" (Japanese clear broth), "Tempura" of Spring Vegetables, "Shiroae" (green leaves with "Tofu")

This event was attended by 22 international students from 11 different countries as well as 13 Japanese residents.
