To apply: Please call or e-mail MIFA with your name, telephone number and
the date you'd like to join by noon of previous day.
˘¨Cancellations: If due to unavoidable circumstances you are unable to attend
the Ikebana session please email MIFA or telephone us on 03-3715-4671 by noon of the previous day.
˘¨PLEASE NOTE that there will be a cancellation charge of 1000 yen if you
cancel after 12pm of the previous day to cover the cost of the flowers. |
MIFA offers flower arrangement classes.to introduce Japanese culture to foreigners.
Volunteers give lessons.
You can learn three schools of arrangement, which are Sogetsu, Ikenobo and Ohara
About 10 people join to enjoy Ikebana each time
Volunteers explain participants how to do it from the very beginning.
Participants can choose their own vases to arrange flowers.
They take pictures after practicing arrangement again and again. |

Are you interested in Chanoyu, Japanese tea ceremony ?
Join MIFA's Chanoyu and experience very traditional Japanese culture with
volunteers who give you instruction.
MIFA organizes Japanese tea ceremony for foreign residents. It is held
at a full-blown room for
Tea Ceremony and a spacious Japanese room in the Meguro City Office Complex.
Japanese volunteers introduce
to participants Japanese tea ceremony from the basic. Even beginners donˇÇt
have to hesitate to join the event as
Japanese volunteers explain thoroughly how to enjoy it. Why not try delicious
tea as well as traditional Japanese sweets?
