International Communication Network Komaba Japanese Language Class
Purpose Japanese language classes have been held for foreign students living at the Komaba International House since 1971.
These courses are open to anyone interested in improving their Japanese language ability.
Beginners are welcome.
We have several small classes, from beginner to advanced levels according to the needs of the learners.
Additionally social functions such as small cultural parties are held as well.

Purpose To study Korean language (intermediate level and abobe)
Activities We learn Korean joyfully using materials such as Korean dramas, films, pop music, novels and soon.
Our instructor is an international student from Korea.
Membership fee is 1,500 yen per month. Enrollment fee is free.
Our group consists of males and females on their thirties and sixties.

CHS Chokkura Home Stay
Purpose  CHS is a non-profit organization which is aiming to provide short term home stays from 3 hours in Japan and also holding an event and seminar to support foreign families.
Foreigners living in Japan can experience a deep Japanese culture and/or the culture of a different country.
If you are a living in Japan, interested in helping us develop our home stay project, and would like to build global bridges, why not join us?
Please contact us by e-mail for host family application. We also has an opening for a person who is interested in our internship program.

Ipil Ipil no Kai
Purpose Education support, humanitarian aid, peace building support, etc.
 Activities °»Ipil ipil°… is a woman°«s volunteer group that keeps wide range of human resources development, recovery from war and disaster in the affected area, other humanitarian activities in Japan and other countries.
After the earthquake in 2011, we keep planting cherry trees called °»Tree of Hope°… as a symbol of recovery from the disaster in the stricken area.
With over 10-year experience of planting cherry trees in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the project has been stared from Kesennuma, Miyagi prefecture since November, 2011.
We presented trees at four cities in Iwate prefecture. Planting is to be planed at the end of April, 2013 in Fudai, Iwate prefecture.

Refugee Empowerment Network (REN)
Activities REN supports refugees in Japan and Africa. REN°«s activities include helping refugees with making and selling of beads accessories, providing lunch to refugees, and translating web journals written by refugees in Africa.
REN is currently seeking members and volunteers (English-Japanese translation, helping at bazaars, and finishing and packing beads accessories).
