Festival Visited by 2,800 People
The 4th MIFA International Exchange Festival was held under the title
--“Let’s do it together. Bring a friend”-- on Feb.7 (Sat.) and 8(Sun.)
at Main and Small Hall of Meguro Persimmon Hall. In total, as many as 2,800
people attended the festival.
The number exceeds that of last year by as 300.
Thirty seven Committee Members have spent time little shy of a year since
last April and planned the festival.They superbly cooridnated with 110
support voluntees and 200 booth managers and performers for two days,and
led the festival to a sucess.
People from more than 30 different countries introduced their culture through
sales of food / products, tea culture, try-on traditional clothes, music,
songs, dances, writing, playing for children,martial arts, etc, and enjoyed
interaction with visitors.

The 5th MIFA International Exchange Festival is to be conducted on Feb.20 and 21, 2010. You will be most welcome!

MIFA International Exchange Fesival with a purpose to encourage interactions between Japanese and international residents, is to be held again next year.
Visitors to the festival has been on the inrease: 1700 for 2006, 2000 for 2007, and 2500 for 2008.
Planning/Managing Committee is now planning interesting programs that will enable more people to interact.
Please bring "a friend" to the committee if you are interested.
