| Objectives |
To promote international exchanges in Meguro City, and to deepen mutual
understanding amongst people as a result under the encouragement of Meguro
citizen's creativeness and vitality, and thereby contribute to the formation
of "Meguro City - open to over the world" |
| Activities |
1) Activities promoting cooperative friendship with foreign cities which
Meguro City has established links.
2) Exchanges in culture, sports, economy etc. between the people of foreign
cities and Meguro.
3) The introduction of foreign cities to the people of Meguro, and vice-versa.
4) Investigation, research, and publicity to promote international exchanges.
5) Communication, coordination, and assistance with or to groups related
to MIFA.
6) All other activities necessary to achieve MIFA's objectivies. |

2. MIFA Membership System
Thank you for supporting our association.
All foreign residents are welcome to become a member of MIFA, enabling
them to use the many services we provide. We have a low annual membership
fee, which is valid from the beginning of April to the end of March.

To register, please either visit our office at the City Hall in Naka- Meguro,
or send your registration fee via money-transfer from any post office (see
account details below). You will then receive a membership card, and by
showing this you can participate in any MIFA activities for free.

Cooperative Member
A cooperative member is an individual who participates in MIFA activities
or an individual who plans and assists with the volunteer activities, or
a group that works with MIFA.
Individual Member: Annual membership fee is 1,000 yen (students: 500 yen
free for high school students and younger)
Participation Fee: The fee varies for each
activity. Those who are not members of MIFA can participate in the activities by
paying the visitors' fee.
The fee for individual activities varies, so please check at the time.
Group Member: Annual membership fee is 1,000 yen.
A group member should be a
party which does activities related with international friendship and meets
MIFA's requirements.
A group member will receive support such as use of the MIFA name as well
as a subsidy.
Supporting member system
For those who are unable to spare any time to help run our activities,
there is a supporting member system which will enable you to make a small
financial contribution in return for receiving useful information sent
out by MIFA. Membership is valid for one fiscal year.

3. Subsidies provided by MIFA
MIFA offers financial support to groups working within Meguro City whose
activities promote international exchange and cooperation.
